When my feet left the well marked path
I recalled a walk on the beach,
where I followed footsteps in the sand,
that led to the shoreline, then disappeared.
Deeper into the forest I went,
reliving walks with my Father on Sundays in the park.
The idea was to get throughly lost,
find a clearing and make a camp.
I came upon a moonlit glade,
pitched my tent and waited for the sun to shade my thoughts.
I awoke with birds singing and the wind whistling in my ear.
I made my memories stand out,
where I walked with Giants
and talked with God about the reason we were made.
He spoke softly, just above a whisper,
"I made you out of and for love.
To know myself and to know you.
There is a loneliness in Mankind, it has my Name."
I reawake with afternoon sun shining all around.
I left the camp, knowing exactly the way back Home.
